They gave it away. I refused the free offer. I paid $17 american. This song is transcendent. Thom Yorke, smallish, one almost dead eye, tired shoulders and all is my angel. If there is a heaven, he will be at the gates, welcoming me inside. He might smile and understand our complicity, the complicity he and I share apparently with millions of other folk. Does this leave me in the world or leave me on the fringes? I am in love with this/him/hope/everything.

The Sounds of Change
Well it’s here !Radiohead is going to self-release their newest record and you can have it for free if you like.
I pre-ordered a download copy and paid $17.40 U S Dollars (be careful, you pay in pounds and the dollar stinks right now) , because I do not think it should be free for me. You see, Radiohead has paid me over 70 times that. When they released The Bends, the song ‘Nice Dream’ was the only song that would calm my then screaming infant. Oddly enough, I collided into the world of Creative Commons Licensing through a site called ccmixter, a community where musicians upload little pieces of work, samples or vocals and allow others to freely use these pieces to create something new. This appeals to me on many levels: the creation of music without fiscal intentions, and the creation of music constructed in a dialectic way. Because I am disinterested in the thought of making music just for the sake of fame and fortune, the thought of throwing my work into the collective consciousness and hearing how others will change it is fascinating.
I did my first remix last night, using a short, instrumental piece, chopping it up and putting a signature Kaer Trouz drummy drum drum track (s) in it. I too, have also now been downloaded as I put my first vocal loops up on looperman. In the space of 2 hours I have been downloaded to 54 unknown DJs, remixers and musicians all over the world. Pretty cool, huh?

I have two new songs in the works, but due to pneumonia have not been able to finish the vocals. I also have to give a shout out to my new friend Nittso, who has remixed one of them allready. I will post all the versions sometime next week.
