Will Anyone Hear This?

safe sanctuary or enclave of suffocation???? a ghost musician navigates the civilian suburbs

Fear Of Flying

in an airport in the future

i will watch you smile

heading out for destinations

even when the wind is slowing down

i can feel you when you’re dreaming

even when the fire is screaming through the sky

in the airports of the future

you can keep your luggage and your shoes

you will glide there with other beings

bereft of all suspicious activities

in the future i may love you

but today is simply all bad dreams

in the future in the airport

all the chairs are made of woven clouds

there is never any crashing

because we have all begun to love ourselves

  1. mom Said,

This is a perfect song. Just beautiful.

  2. Kim Kotars Said,

Again, with the Eno Theme. Music for Airports.

    Nice.

  3. Jamie Said,

As an English guy 9/11 hits me slightly differently to you Sheb. It was devastating and clearly justified the reaction that followed globally.

Bless those that fight for our freedom and bless you for this song. As you ‘work’ on this project it is changing your style; I like it.

    Jay

  4. Sheb Said,

Thanks, Jay, Kim & Mom. Twas strange, I did not set out to write a song about the day, I had some drum samples in a folder that I labeled future airports (who knows why) and it came about that way. I like the way this is changing my music too. I am relying less on structured piano pieces and more on atmospheres. I guess we can all blame Brian Eno although I swear I have not listened to his work in years.

Sheb what a beautiful song it brought tears to my eyes. Pam

  6. Sheb Said,

thanks Pam & Alex, it means a lot to me that you continue to check in. The world is a crazy place, but at least Sacramento is mostly peaceful.
